Still having the problem with no-reply bloggers and "anonymous" people. If I can, I try to contact people. On email comments, if their name is blue, they have a blog, and you can click on their blue name to see their public profile not their private profile. Some people have signed up for a blog and ever done anything with it so, no contacting them. But if they have a blog with posts, I leave them a message on their last post to come back because their blogger profile is set to no reply.
If you wan to fix this YOUR PROFILE has to have the box checked for "show emails" and have you email address in the box that you can type it in further down the page under the box with your sign-in email or it will be a no reply!. I think I got 20+ "no replies" and was able to leave messages like that for about 10 but only about 6 have emailed me back and re-entered the giveaway...............And you guys that are "anonymous"...with no email............really? No entry and no Pudgie fat cat patterns will be emailed back to you. enough about that
Okay, hopefully I can make this short and sweet, you got a lot more places to go. If you're new here you might want to take just a few minutes to look around. If you like what you see, follow along or bookmark it or something. I like to stitch and create and I like to share, so I have Mystery Monday project patterns (check the tags). (If you want, you can grab the button to the right if you want a backlink to the monday mystery stitch projects) Lately we've been doing the Hexagon Ornaments of the Week(tagged HOW) They are pictured in my header at the top of the page (pictured there too are most of Hawn Hay's Frosty Flake blocks in red across top), Some of you may want to check out my 100th post. Sprinkked throughout my blog are other free patterns and tutorials. I also sell my other patterns, most are available as an instant download and are located at bottom and on sidebar.

Luckily for everyone!!
Hi Cyndi! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fun gifts for a giveaway! It's funny, after living in England where it is incredibly cold at the end of October, and now in Australia where it is incredibly warm... Halloween has a completely different feel about it! One year my DS and I got bitten by plaque proportions of mozzies when we went out trick or treating. Most bizarre! Maybe they were dressed up in mini Halloween costumes and because we didn't treat them, the "trick" was a nice little sting to scratch later?! Hmmm... I prefer the cold!!!
Hugs!! Vikki :-)
What great giveaway goodies! Thanks for the chance at them Cyndi! I love everything about fall, except the fact that winter follows it! LOL

ReplyDeleteI din't know this fabric line but it looks lovely so count me in please. I also have a giveaway....
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. Hmmm...stitchy funny stuff here from me. My very first quilt was for my granddaughter's birth. A friend of mine helped with the quilt and we hand-tied it. She was in town frequently and helped as I was making it. When I finished the quilt itself, I told her I wanted to make a small blankie much like Linus has in the cartoons. So I made a smaller quilt much like the larger one and asked her how to quilt it since I didn't want to hand-tie something that small. She said all I had to do was start from the middle and start quilting to the outside of the quilt so it wouldn't shift and I would have no "bubbles" left in the quilt. Well, I did just what she said...I went to the middle of the quilt and stitched from the middle to the outside corner. Then went back to the middle of the quilt and stitched to the opposite corner. Then went to the middle of the quilt and did the same thing perpendicular to that row of stitching. The "middle" of the quilt had a huge mess of thread where I had started in the "middle" each time. Boy have I learned a lot since then. dmj53 at hotmail dot com

Lovely giveaway - thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love your giveaway!!! My funny story: I taught myself to sew about six years ago. The first night I sat down with my Kenmore (that only had about 3 choices of stitches), my tension was off. After much distress, I threw my pieces of fabric behind the machine against the wall and yelled out "Forget it, I'm done with this!" My husband blocked my path (I was headed for bed), he turned me around and went with me to the machine to help me. So learning patience, looking up tips on you tube and having a husband who supported me helped me learn to quilt. Now I own a 6600 Janome and I smile everytime I think of that night! Good luck everyone!
ReplyDelete(I don't know if my reply is working...so my address is quiltinginthebarn@gmail.com
My story: Saints won Championship and everyone in our group was excited. My bowling partner asked me during league what type of quilt would I make to celebrate. So I drew out a quilt idea and he looked at it. Next thing I know I am making this quilt. Now I know...don't draw quilts in public unless you want to sew for someone. By the way, although from Louisiana, the Saints are not my idea of a football team...the Bears are!cwhippc@aol.com cwhippc at aol dot com

Lovely giveaway. Thanks. Now to the funny story ... just last weekend I was working on a very colorful nine patch quilt for a favorite niece. I left the pieces on the table for a short break. I returned to the cat appearing to be carefully studying the placement. She reached out one delicate paw, rearranged a square, got a pleased look on her face and jumped down (I can never find the camera when I need it!) The funny thing is I liked the cat's arrangement much better than mine! Happy blogging.

Thanks for the give away. Let's see my fav story this year? My daughters and I were doing the shop hop around town. So first LQS daughter #1 stays in car with #1 Gdaughter, in comes a man looks around and says do you own the marron durango outside, yes well your car is running. Thanks but my daughter is inside with the air on. So we go to next shop and again #1 daughter stays in car, we are in shopping and a totally different man comes in looks around comes right over to us and says do you own the durango outside, yes, well its running, yes my daughter is outside with the air on. This same thing happens in the next store, we get the giggles and ask why he came to us in this whole store of women? He said who else but a quilter with an agenda would leave their car running. The girls still ask me everytime little while when we get out of the car Mom did you turn it off this time?

Thanks for the chance to win your lovely prizes. Love the stack of fabrics and the wreath with my favorite corn candy, that pumpkin is too cute and so is the stitchery place mat. It's 92 degrees here in the Valley of the sun, I'm so ready for fall and the cool weather to roll in. I don't have any exciting stories to tell at the moment, but I recently sewed on my hexes and poked my poor finger until it needed a bandaid. I've given it a little rest now so with bandaid on hand I can get back to sewing. Happy blog hopping and I hope you'll stop by for my fall giveaway as well.
ReplyDeleteI've added you to my favorites.,I like the combination of quilting and redwork. I am looking forward to following your blog. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYour stitcheries are so cute!! Your prize package is lovely, hope I win it.
ReplyDeleteMy best quilt story is meeting a great friend from another state through a quilting forum. We got to meet in person 3 years ago, and hit it off right away. She is the greatest; and we were just meant to be friends. Just wish we weren't so far apart. We try to talk on the phone every other week if possible.
These fabrics are lovely. Great giveaway. I am already a follower of yours. Have a wonderful day. Winona
ReplyDeleteI love that color palette for Sophisticate. It would go great in my bedroom. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful giveaway. The fabric collection is really beautiful and I love the primitive pieces. Thanks so much for a chance to have them. As for a stitching story. The fondest one that comes to mind is when I was 12 and my mother bought a bunch of wool yarn for mom to crochet afghans with, in skeins that had to be wound into balls before you could use them. Dad was out of town with his work and mom and I got silly and instead of holding the yarn on my hands and mom rolling it from there, we started walking all through the house leaving neat little trails of yarn and we planned to follow the trails as we rolled the yarn...enter, two playful dogs and one exhuberant cat! Well, I think you can figure the rest out, LOL. What a mess we had. That particular skein of yarn was, needless to say, trashed, literally. But the dogs and cat had a delightful time and my mother and laughed until tears were rolling and our tummy's were sore. Funny, I had forgotten about that but it popped into my head when I was deciding what to write. I miss mom, lost her to breast cancer when I was just 26, that was 34 years ago. But I remember her laughter like it was yesterday. Wonderful memories, thank you for that!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fabric! I have a joke that a kid told me: How do you make a kleenex dance? Put a little boogie in it!
ReplyDeleteYes...it's dumb...I know!
A lovely giveaway you have
ReplyDeleteVery cute give away. Sorry I am too sleep deprived to think of a joke :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric! Thanks for the opportunity
ReplyDeleteI don’t know many jokes so I will tell you a little about me. I love to sew, quilt and do embroidery. Currently I am teaching a small group of home schooled girls how to do hand embroidery. Our first project has been needle books made from felt. The girls have been decorating the outside covers with their name and a pretty picture. Our second project, which we will begin next week, is a red work design stitched onto a strip of muslin; when the design is finished I will then stitch the strip into a draw string bag.

ReplyDeleteFunny story...when I first met my husband to be he introduced himself to me and I thought he said his name was "Harry". We went on a number of dates and I called him that..he didnt correct me because he didn't want to embarrass me! I went to introduce him to a friend and that's when he corrected me! Years later we were at a function and he introduced himself to a gentleman and the man called him "Harry" because that's what he thought he said! Talk about making us laugh!
